Job Description

“Required Skills:

• Provide experience in a change and/or release management role is an asset
• Post-secondary education in Computer Science or related field
• ITIL v3+ Foundation certification or similar certification
• System administration experience in Windows, Linux, Unix
• SCCM, Intune, administration experience
• Relational database experience
• Basic Network knowledge of IP protocol, SSH, and SNMP
• Cloud environment knowledge related to Azure, and Google Cloud
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data analysis

Roles and responsibilities:

• Data Quality: Ensure high-quality CMDB data is available for processes such as Change, Release, Incident, Problem, Security, Knowledge, Architecture, and Finance.
• Asset Management: Develop and maintain a comprehensive record of all Technology assets.
• Documentation: Create and document procedures and job aids to support the process and practice.
• Collaboration: Work with other teams managing IT assets to ensure control and accuracy of data.
• Service Mapping: Develop and maintain CMDB cl asses and relationships to model applications and ser-vices, enhancing overall Service Mapping.
• Request Fulfillment: Monitor queues and fulfill requests/issues related to configuration management practices.
• Activity Monitoring: Monitor and report on the status of configuration management activities.
• Process Adherence: Collaborate with teams to ensure adherence to configuration management processes.
• Training and Support: Provide training and support on configuration management policies and procedures.
• Asset Discovery: Utilize ServiceNow Discovery to identify and manage IT assets and configurations across cloud, container, and on-premises environments.
• Vendor Integration: Manage CMDB integrations with third-party vendors supporting or managing as-sets.
• Decommissioning: Partner with CIs/service owners to ensure timely decommissioning for cost avoidance.
• Process Improvement: Continuously improve processes to increase efficiency and effectiveness.
• Change Management: Contribute to change management review (TRB/CAB) and approvals for modifications to CIs.
• Automation: Identify and automate manually intensive tasks.
• Support: Assist the Configuration Manager in the day-to-day management of the process.
• Good experience in designing, implementing, and maintaining a CMDB in ServiceNow or equivalent tool
• Good experience in supporting ServiceNow Discovery and Service Mapping or equivalent tool
• Working knowledge.”
