Job Description
“Typical client-facing projects would involve IT within the context of:
Strategic sourcing and cost optimization (both within a company and across a portfolio of companies)
Managed service support for strategic negotiations and software renewal pipeline
Procurement opportunity assessment and opportunity roadmap
Procurement transformation
Spend analytics
Make vs. buy decision analysis
Benchmarking and best practices implementation
Here’s what you need:
Minimum 5 years of relevant business experience
Procurement and sourcing experience, including exposure to IT negotiations
A bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, or a related field
Strong client services skills/orientation developed by working with either internal business customers or preferably external consulting clients
Ability to effectively plan and manage multiple projects, tasks, and/or initiatives simultaneously, especially related to IT projects
Bonus Points If:
You have a strategic sourcing AND consulting background
You have a depth of IT category and procurement expertise in one or more of the following – hardware, software, infrastructure, networking, cloud services, labor
Strong analytical skills including the ability to manage resources performing complex analytics to develop client decision support data
You excel in building and developing relationships, overseeing complex programs, and demonstrating leadership
You have deep experience in software sourcing, negotiations and contracting
Strong communication skills (verbal and written), including the ability to present comfortably to senior executives
You are comfortable in an entrepreneurial, performance-driven environment
You have earned an MBA or equivalent graduate degree
Prior experience in driving insights using visualization tools (i.e., Power BI, Tableau, Alteryx) and analytics tools (i.e., Adobe Analytics, Google Analytics”
