Job Description

“Onsite Mainframe CICS Infrastructure Support

Start ASAP – assignment runs through mid December 2025
Key Responsibilities:

Manage and support CICS Transaction Server on IBM z/OS platforms.
Monitor and optimize mainframe infrastructure, ensuring high availability and performance.
Perform CICS system tuning, troubleshooting, and problem resolution to maintain stability.
Collaborate with application developers, database administrators, and network teams to ensure seamless operation.
Manage z/OS system resources, storage, and workload balancing.
Configure and maintain CICS regions, transactions, programs, and system definitions.
Implement security controls using RACF to safeguard system access and data integrity.
Support disaster recovery (DR) and business continuity plans.
Maintain software upgrades, patches, and fixes for CICS and related mainframe components.
Document system changes, configurations, and troubleshooting procedures.
Required Qualifications:

5+ years of experience in IBM CICS and z/OS mainframe infrastructure support.
Strong knowledge of CICS Transaction Server, VSAM, DB2, MQ, JCL, and JES2/3.
MQseries
Experience with CICS Performance tuning, troubleshooting, and region configurations.
Hands-on experience with IBM System Automation, SMP/E, and mainframe monitoring tools (OMEGAMON, SYSVIEW, or equivalent).
Familiarity with batch processing, REXX, and automation scripting.
Understanding of RACF security and compliance standards.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work in a 24×7 support environment.
