Job Description
“We are seeking an individual with great people skills that is highly motivated and has the right attitude to learn in a fast pace and growing environment. The successful candidate will have good troubleshooting skills and exceptional understanding of computer hardware, disk imaging software, Windows and third party vendor programs, networking knowledge and the ability to troubleshoot network issues. The Junior Support I.T. Technician will be responsible for day-to-day helpdesk and assisting I.T. Operations Manager with the overall network and system management. In addition, this individual will help with the related development activities, inventory and ordering of hardware and software requirements.
This person will also provide input and analysis in any work relative to the information technology and systems. You must have your own transportation (Vehicle) as traveling to different locations will be required. ESSENTIAL DUTIES WILL INCLUDE, BUT NOT LIMITED TO:
Providing helpdesk support to queries via email, in person, or phone.
Assisting with troubleshooting and repairing of issues related to PC’s, Mac’s, peripherals, mobile devices and other applications both in person and remotely.
Helping users minimize downtime and increase productivity.
Contacting third parties as needed to resolve issues.
Logging and monitoring support tickets and escalating issues when necessary.
Ability to document workflows and processes.
Setting up accounts for new users.
Other duties as assigned by management.
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
Certificate or Diploma in an IT related field.
Have an interest in technology and a willingness to learn.
Knowledge and understanding of various IT concepts, software and technologies.
Troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Familiarity with PC and Networks.
Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
Ability to lift heavy objects up to 50lbs.
Valid Class 5 AB Driver’s License as this position will require daily site-to-site travel. “
