Role and Responsibilities
Contribute as a productive member of an Agile development team.
Analyze, design, and implement business requirements.
Design and implement data models.
Integration and testing with backend services and databases.
Software API development and testing.
User interface development and testing.
System performance profiling and optimization.
Regular exposure to business stakeholders and senior management, as well as the authority and scope to apply your expertise to a variety of interesting technical problems.
Required Skills
JavaScript, jQuery, HTML, HTML5, CSS, CSS3, Java, Spring/Spring Boot, Angular, Twitter Bootstrap, Web programming skills, Teamwork, Verbal communication, Web user interface (UI) design, Security principles, Object-oriented design, Web services (REST), Multimedia content development, APIs, Postgres.
Deep functional knowledge or hands-on experience in web services design is required to succeed in this role.
Extensive experience with Java, Spring or Spring Boot, and Maven.
Experience with RDBMS technologies such as Postgres, Oracle, and SQL Server.
Experience with source code control systems such as Git and CI/CD systems is an asset.
Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud platforms such as GCP or AWS is an asset.
Excellent communication skills in French and English* (spoken and written).
* Fluency in English is required for this position, as the candidate will be required to collaborate daily with English-speaking colleagues or stakeholders or those outside Quebec.
