Job Description

“Responsibilities of the PTC Windchill Solution Architect may include:

Work closely with the Accenture team and key stakeholders to understand requirements, owning specifications and design documents, and deploy the applications.
Assist in the analysis, design and development of a roadmap and implementation based upon a current vs. future state in a cohesive architecture viewpoint.
Facilitate development of assets and solution frameworks that combine knowledge of the R&D and Engineering business processes and issues, technology trends and digital priorities.
Identify key value drivers and demonstrate how digital transformation of R&D and Engineering can enable key enterprise imperatives.
Lead customer workshops.
Lead functional teams.
Coach the implementation team.
Provide Functional system solutions for PLM.
Participate in the functional design and the functional Architecture of the solution.
Design and implement application configurations to meet business process and application requirements. Review and approve functional specifications and conduct code walk-through.
Gather and analyze data and develop architectural requirements at project level.
Act as an advocate of Product Lifecycle Management and/or Manufacturing best practices, methods, and processes.
Develop test plans to assure that developed solution satisfies client requirements.
Management and follow up on internal and external sales campaigns.
Continuing development and refinement of offerings and collateral to support/promote the sales of offerings (overviews, case studies, account planning, marketing information).
Support the creation and participate in thought leadership to create R&D and Engineering Point of view and white papers.
Successfully supporting the sales process from origination to successful closing (including offering fine tuning, solution shaping, proposal preparation, client presentations).
Meet travel requirements, up to 50%.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:

8 + years of professional experience with Windchill or others PTC products.
10 + years of professional experience in Manufacturing IT systems including ERP, PLM, IoT and QMS.
2 + years of projects management experience in IT systems (Manufacturing) including ERP, PLM, IoT and QMS.
Bachelor’s Degree.
English is required for this position as this role will regularly interact with English-speaking stakeholders across Canada. Due to the significant high volume of interactions with these English-speaking stakeholders, which is inherent to this position, it is not possible to reorganize the company’s activities to avoid this requirement.
Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in at least 2 of the following industries:
Aerospace & Defense
Electronics & High Tech
Energy & Utilities
Automotive/Tier 1 Suppliers
Industrial Equipment
Travel, Transportation and Logistics
Consumer packaged goods
Good analytical & troubleshooting skills.
Experience managing teams of 5 or more people.
Systems Implementation methodology knowledge (Agile Methodology, Waterfall).
Manufacturing processes of any industry, applying knowledge of product design, fabrication, assembly, and materials etc.;
(PLM) CAD solutions such as ANSYS, CREO, CATIA.
(PLM) PTC Windchill, PDMLink, ProjectLink and MPMLink.
(PLM) Windchill Bulk Migration and/or Data integration experience.
(IoT) IoT Technologies including RFID, Bluetooth LE, Zigbee, Cisco, Axeda, ThingWorx, WindRiver, SCADA, M2M, AI, 2lemetry, AWS, Azure.
(IoT) IoT Field Tech Device/sensors, M2M SCADA, edge computing, Wireless comm protocols.
Proactive demonstrated ability to search and provide information on the key industry challenges and trends and apply new technology to, and reusing existing technology for, end to end R&D and business processes.
Self-starter with a bias toward action and the ability to produce results.
Strong team player with a “can do” attitude, and the flexibility to jump in wherever needed.
Able to comfortably manage multiple tasks, communicate status, escalate issues and juggle competing priorities.
Ability to understand business needs, articulate trade-offs, and discuss solutions with business and development teams.
Excellent leadership, communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills.
Proven ability to work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment.
Desire to work in an information systems environment.
Demonstrated leadership in professional setting; either military or civilian.
Business development support experience.
Time management skills.
