Job Description

“Responsibilities of the PLM Technical Consultant may include:

Provide Technical- and Domain-Expertise on complex projects.
Participate in requirements gathering and specifications creation.
Participate in the technical design, supporting the technical architect.
Development: configure the applications based on the functional and technical design.
Deployment / Implementation: Diagnose and resolve defects. Contribute to, and prepare, implementation plan details. Execute the implementation plan.
Documentation: Document the configuration and architecture.
Validation Tests: Conduct unit testing and functional and integration testing, including preparation of test cases/scenarios and test data.
Maintenance: Analyze, design and produce solution enhancements.
Coach workstream team(s).
Successfully support the management team in different project workstreams.
Programming: Write new, or modify existing, process extension based on physical design and/or programming specifications. This includes documenting the code.
Reporting: Report progress status and issues.
Meet travel requirements, up to 80%.

Basic Qualifications:

4 + years of professional experience programming with a major PLM system (PTC, Dassault Systemes, Siemens, SAP-PLM, Oracle Agile) and/or Master Data Management, including 2 + years of professional experience programming with JAVA and/or C++.
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience
English is required for this position as this role will regularly interact with English-speaking stakeholders across Canada. Due to the significant high volume of interactions with these English-speaking stakeholders, which is inherent to this position, it is not possible to reorganize the company’s activities to avoid this requirement.
Preferred Qualifications:

API development.
Systems Implementation methodology knowledge (Agile Methodology, Waterfall).
Mechanical and/or Electrical Engineering concepts and solutions.
Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) concepts and solutions.
Able to comfortably manage multiple tasks, communicate status, escalate issues and juggle competing priorities.
Strong team player with a “can do” attitude, and the flexibility to jump in wherever needed.
Self-starter with a bias toward action and the ability to produce results.
Data migration experience.
Team management experience.
Excellent communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills.
Collaboration skills.
Ability to work in a team environment.
Flexibility.
Time management skills.”
