Job Description

“The Opportunity

Gynger is seeking a Collections Strategy & Operations Manager to own and mature Gynger’s first dedicated collections function. You’ll architect the strategy and roll up your sleeves to execute against it – recovering both balances (secured and unsecured) while shaping the playbooks, tooling, and external‐partner network we’ll rely on as we scale.

This is an exciting opportunity to play a critical role at a high growth, category creating startup. You will have exposure to many aspects of the business and be given the opportunity to build products and processes that change the way businesses buy and sell technology.
In this role you will…
Design a data‑driven collections framework that balances recovery, customer experience, and regulatory compliance.
Segment delinquent portfolios, set contact cadences, and build escalation paths for secured (UCC filings, lien foreclosure, asset recovery) and unsecured exposures (legal pursuits, payment‑plan negotiations).
Select and manage outside counsel, collection agencies, and servicing vendors; negotiate SLAs and measure performance.
File and foreclose liens, coordinate asset/receivables seizures, and negotiate structured settlements.
Build dashboards that track leading indicators (DPD buckets, roll rates, cure rates) and report insights to leadership, sales, and product.
Partner with Credit and Product to tighten underwriting criteria, refine risk scores, and automate early‑warning triggers.
You have…
5 – 7 years of experience managing commercial or SMB collections in fintech, payments, or B2B lending.
Fluency with analytics tools (e.g. Excel, BI dashboards, SQL) to slice portfolios and measure results.
Bachelor’s degree in related field preferred.
$150,000 – $175,000 a year
We Offer…

• The opportunity to join one of the fastest growing Fintech Series A companies in NYC.
• The ability to revolutionize the B2B SaaS market.
• A tight-knit, collaborative team who are passionate about building startups.
• Competitive salary, equity, flexible PTO, and robust benefits (medical, dental, vision etc.).
• Built-In 2024 and 2025 “”Best Places to Work.”
