Job Description
“Required Skills:
• Good experience in SAP BusinessObjects administration, with at in a lead or supervisory role.
• Technical Expertise: In-depth knowledge of SAP BusinessObjects tools (e.g., Web Intelligence, Crystal Reports, Universe Designer, BO Server, etc.).
• System Administration: Strong hands-on experience with SAP BusinessObjects installation, configuration, patching, and performance tuning.
• Database Knowledge: Familiarity with databases (SQL, Oracle, or similar) and experience in creating and managing Universe connections.
• Operating Systems: Comfortable working in multi-platform environments, including Windows and Linux.
• Problem-Solving: Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills, capable of addressing complex technical issues.
• Leadership: Proven ability to lead and mentor a team, managing both technical and interpersonal challenges.
• Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
• Certifications: Relevant SAP BusinessObjects certifications (such as SAP Certified Technology Associate) are a plus.
• Cloud Integration: Experience with integrating SAP BO with cloud-based data platforms.SAP BI
• Knowledge: Familiarity with other SAP Busine ss Intelligence tools and systems (e.g., SAP BW, SAP HANA).
• Automation: Experience in automating tasks using scripts or other tools for efficiency and performance optimization.
Roles and Responsibilities:
• Lead SAP BO Administration Team: Supervise and guide a team of SAP BO administrators, providing mentorship, technical guidance, and ensuring best practices are followed.
• System Setup and Configuration: Manage the installation, configuration, and upgrade of SAP BO environments.
• Ensure smooth operation of all SAP BusinessObjects platforms (e.g., Web Intelligence, Crystal Reports, Dashboard, Universe Designer).
• Performance Monitoring: Monitor and optimize system performance to ensure high availability and efficient functioning of all SAP BO tools.
• Troubleshooting: Resolve complex technical issues related to SAP BO, including server-side and client-side problems, and collaborate with support teams for issue resolution.
• Security and User Management: Implement and manage security protocols, including user access control, roles, and permissions. Ensure compliance with data privacy and security regulations.
• Data Integration and Connectivity: Work closely with Data Warehousing and ETL teams to ensure effective integration and reporting from various data sources.
• Upgrade and Patch Management: Plan, coordinate, and execute SAP BusinessObjects updates, patches, and system migrations with minimal disruption to services.
• Collaboration: Liaise with cross-functional teams such as developers, database administrators, and business analysts to optimize reporting solutions and deliverables.
• Documentation: Maintain detailed documentation of system configurations, processes, troubleshooting procedures, and other operational aspects of SAP BO.
• Training and Support: Provide training to end-users and internal stakeholders on the effective use of SAP BO tools. Offer ongoing support and guidance as needed.”
