RESPONSIBILITIES
Support the design, analysis, and development of propulsion systems for advanced satellites, contributing to the fulfillment of mission requirements.
Assist in the integration, testing, and qualification of propulsion hardware, including component- and system-level testing.
Contribute to the development and refinement of propulsion technologies with a focus on performance, reliability, and manufacturability.
Perform propulsion system simulations and support performance analysis under guidance from senior engineers.
Participate in system-level trade studies and help evaluate propulsion options based on mission needs.
Work closely with engineers from structures, avionics, and thermal teams to support integration and testing of propulsion subsystems.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
2-7+ years of hands-on experience in the design, development, and testing of spacecraft propulsion systems.
Experience in propulsion system modeling and analysis tools.
Ability to support complex engineering projects with multiple stakeholders, meeting deadlines and deliverables.
PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
Experience with chemical propulsion systems, preferably hypergolic and/or green propellant in-space systems.
Knowledge of CAD tools such as SolidWorks for propulsion system design.
Hands-on experience with propulsion test setups, including vacuum chamber testing and instrumentation.
Experience working in a fast-paced, startup environment or a similarly dynamic setting.
Ability to maintain or obtain TS/SCI clearance
COMPENSATION
Base Salary: $90,000-120,000 for Propulsion Engineer I; $100,000-135,000 for Propulsion Engineer II

Your actual level and base salary will be determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on the following considerations: job related knowledge and skills, education, location and experience.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS
Work Location—this role will be an onsite position based out of our Gravity Works office in Denver.
Travel—employees can expect to travel up to 25% to the LA factory.
Work environment—the work environment; temperature, noise level, inside or outside, or other factors that will affect the person’s working conditions while performing the job.
Physical demands—the physical demands of the job, including bending, sitting, lifting and driving. “
