“Registered Clinical Counselor – Lifemark Physiotherapy Kamloops
Kamloops, BC
Location: Hybrid* in Kamloops
16-20 hours/week (Casual, up to Part Time)
Compensation models include hourly and Fee for Service

Responsibilities:
Provide counselling services to clients referred privately, by employers, by various insurance companies, and other third-party organizations to address psychosocial problems related to injury, trauma, and mental illness.
Adopt a goal-focussed, therapeutic approach for alleviating distress and improving social and occupational functioning.
Participate in interdisciplinary team conferences to discuss clients’ treatment plan and goals, the progress made to date, and any barriers to treatment.
Delivery quality reporting and effective communication with all stakeholders.
Licensing:
Master’s degree in Counselling / Clinical Psychology from an accredited University
Registered with the BC Association of Clinical Counselors or with the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association
Experience
Must have minimum 2 to 5 years of experience as a Registered Clinical Counsellor
Experience in case conceptualization and treatment of a range of mental health symptoms with a variety of adult clients
Have clinical knowledge in the areas of grief/loss, depression, anxiety, trauma, and adjustment issues
Knowledge of psychological management of chronic pain and concussive syndrome an asset
Training and experience with cognitive behavioural therapy approaches (e.g., CBT, ACT, CPT)
Experience working as part of a multi/interdisciplinary team
Experience preparing assessment, progress and discharge reports
Hybrid: This counsellor would be attached to the Kamloops clinic, with ability to be in-person (preferred) on Wednesdays (8am-1pm) at Lifemark Physiotherapy Kamloops (164 Oriole Rd, Kamloops, BC V2C 4N7)
