Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s / Master’s degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution.
Candidate must be located within commuting distance of Calgary, AB or be willing to relocate to the area. This position may require travel.

Must possess an Electrical engineering or Power Engineering or Electrical Energy Systems Engineering background.
Knowledge of ICCP, RTU and Electric SCADA Systems.
Understanding of electrical network models (Transmission & Distribution), modelling and simulation.
Knowledge of Power systems analysis and control, grid monitoring and analytics.
Knowledge of grid integration of renewable energy sources and electric vehicles.
ADMS Qualification (Additional required):
Knowledge of any ADMS or EMS platform
Understanding of Regulated support Model – NERC-CIP
Knowledge of programming languages for system integration or scripting, such as C, C++, PowerShell, Python, VB, PERL, Linux, or similar
GIS Qualification (Additional required):
Knowledge of any GIS Based software package – Any of ESRI or GE Smallworld or
Knowledge of programming languages for system integration or scripting – ASP.NET, C#.NET, Python.
The job entails sitting as well as working at a computer for extended periods of time. Should be able to communicate by telephone, email, or face to face. Travel may be required as per the job requirements. “
