Job Description

Key Responsibilities:
Design and implement scalable and secure cloud-based solutions to support enterprise applications and services.
Lead architectural discussions and decisions across cross-functional Agile teams.
Collaborate with IT, network, operations, and product SMEs to analyze and optimize systems performance.
Develop strategies for system monitoring, anomaly detection, and continuous service improvement.
Support the deployment and maintenance of cloud infrastructure, ensuring alignment with DevOps and CI/CD best practices.
Guide secure software development practices and support efforts in system hardening and compliance.
Contribute to root cause analysis and problem resolution for business flow and system anomalies.
Provide technical leadership to Application Architects, Business Analysts, and Support Engineers.
Participate in quarterly PI (Program Increment) planning sessions, emphasizing face-to-face collaboration.
Requirements

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
7+ years of experience in cloud architecture, software engineering, or related technical roles.
Expertise with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
Proficiency in infrastructure-as-code tools (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation) and DevOps practices.
Strong knowledge of containerization and orchestration (Terraform, Kubernetes).
Experience with monitoring tools, logging frameworks, and performance analytics.
Proven ability to troubleshoot complex system issues and lead cross-functional investigations.
Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in Agile teams.
Working Conditions:

Type of job: Temporary Contractor – 1 year with the possibility to extend
Work hours: Monday – Friday, 40 hours per week
Location: Ottawa, ON
